Matt Brooks: Guitar & Bass Teacher - Allen, Texas

With a bachelor's degree in music from the University of North Texas, Matt's creativity, extensive background in music and passion for performing diverse genres brings variety and flexibility to his lessons. Matt makes the most of his musical talents as an active gigging musician in the DFW area, giving him first-hand knowledge of what it takes to be a successful performing musician. His laid-back personality and creative spirit put students at ease, allowing him to tap in to what inspires each student so he can tailor lessons exactly to each student's desires. Matt's repertoire includes a variety of genres built on a solid foundation of technique, theory and real-world application. Scott Morse Guitar Teacher Allen, Texas

With experience teaching guitar since 2010, Scott has proven to be a flexible, patient, and inspiring instructor. He began studying guitar at age 10, and is now a proud graduate of UNT. Scott graduated with highest honors, Summa Cum Laude, with a degree in Jazz Studies, with an emphasis in instrumental performance, concentration being on guitar. His knowledge of music and guitar is far-reaching - covering theory, technique, history, ear training, etc.

As a result his personal experiences studying guitar, and as a teacher of both group and private lessons, Scott is well-aware of the difference a great instructor can make in a student's understanding and enjoyment of the instrument. He is a kind, thoughtful teacher who works hard to foster in his students a healthy and positive approach toward learning their instrument while incorporating music that they enjoy. The versatility of the guitar makes it a very popular instrument. At Matt Burk Music Studio, we understand that this versatility draws students with a wide range of musical interests. We have intentionally chosen instructors who can help students master practically any style they would like to learn - all the while, using positive reinforcement, creativity and patience in lessons.

Guitar lessons at Matt Burk Music Studio are tailored to each individual student. Depending on each student's particular musical interests and goals, they may include theory, ear training, reading tablature and notation, proper technique and of course songs that the student chooses! We strive to create an environment where, as students advance, they can easily develop their own style and unique voice while drawing on a baseline of technical know-how. Whether you’d like to learn to play rock, pop, country, classic rock, metal, singer/songwriter, jazz or other styles, our instructors will help you hone your skills, so your natural talent can flourish.

We teach guitar lessons for a variety of skill levels, from beginner to very advanced. Students are encouraged to participate in jam sessions, are a fun way to help develop group rhythm and gain confidence performing on stage and with others. We always use positive reinforcement and never forget our primary goal: To help students everywhere experience the joy and passion that comes with expressing themselves in music, learning their craft proficiently and becoming a success in their own right!
