Semi-annual Recital & Showcase

Each spring and fall, we offer our students the choice between our Showcase at House of Blues Dallas or our Recital at the McKinney Performing Arts Center. Students are welcome to choose the performance that best suits them (whether due to venue, date, etc.)! These events are typically on back-to-back days.

Check out the video to the right of some just a few of the super-talented students who performed at a recent showcase and recital! Some helpful information regarding these events:

• ALL STUDENTS (regardless of age/skill level, time in lessons, etc.) are encouraged to perform! The performances are not mandatory, but they are a lot of fun, and we want everyone to join us!
• There is a fee of $30 per student who registers to perform. This fee will be charged automatically - using the same method of payment as your tuition.
• It is essential that students register using our online registration system (the link is provided by email).
• There are multiple performances each day - the times vary based on the venue and enrollment. The final number and times of performances will be determined by how many students register to perform. Each student who registers for the recital or showcase will be assigned a performance time, and will receive confirmation of their final scheduled time by email prior to the performance.
• Register early! We have to reserve our performance venues several months in advance, and we have to reserve a specific amount of time at each venue upon making these reservations. As such, there are only a certain number of performers we can have at each venue. There will be ample time between the two venues for every student to perform. However, if registration for one date/venue fills up more quickly than the other, students who register a little later may only have the option of one date/venue. So in order to be sure to get to perform in the venue of your choice, be sure to register early!

We strive to make all of our performances enjoyable for students as well their guests. We encourage students to dress according to how they will feel best - some students dress up significantly and others dress more casually. We leave that decision up to each student. Also, we do not require that students memorize their music. We realize that this can add undue stress on some students, so again, we leave the decision about whether to memorize the music up to each student.

There are no fees for guests to attend either venue. We want everyone to come, enjoy, and support each other!
