Convenient Monthly Rates

Matt Burk Music Studio specializes in private music lessons. Since the studio’s founding, we have specialized providing lessons that are tailored to each student, depending on his or her musical interests and goals. In all of our lessons, we strive to make learning a positive and fun experience!

We teach all styles of music, from classical to metal (and everything in between), and lessons include piano, guitar, drums, bass, voice, songwriting, and audio production.

Enrollment & Tuition

Tuition is the same for all instruments (voice is an instrument, too!), and it must be paid before a student is admitted to lessons.

Enrollment Fee: $50 per student (waived for siblings/parents who enroll)
Tuition for half-hour private weekly lessons: $135/month
Tuition for full-hour private weekly lessons: $250/month

If a student enrolls after the beginning of the month, tuition for that month will be prorated at the rate of $33.75 per half-hour lesson or $62.50 per full-hour music lesson.

Payment

Tuition must be paid before a student is admitted to lessons. A student is not considered enrolled at Matt Burk Music Studio until payment has been made. Tuition is non-refundable and must be made by automatic credit card or bank draft processing.

Payment is expected for all private lesson students enrolled at the beginning of the month, whether they attend lessons or not. We have a specific lesson time reserved for each student, thus payment must be made regardless of attendance. This includes illness, holidays, vacations, etc.

All students should complete and return this Payment Authorization Form before enrollment can be finalized. This form should be submitted in person or by mail. We do not recommend sending this information electronically.

We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. We also process automatic bank drafts through ACH.

Holidays, Instructor Vacation, etc.

For private lessons, tuition is the same every month – regardless of how many weeks/lessons are in that month. We process these payments at the beginning of each month for that month’s lessons. Tuition is based on a rate of $62.50 per lesson for hour lessons and $33.75 per lesson for half-hour lessons. There are 52 weeks in a year, but there will only be 48 lessons each calendar year (each instructor takes four weeks off per year). Therefore, we take the 48 lessons and divide them by the 12 months in the year, so we charge for an even four lessons every month. This is how we have developed the tuition structure listed above. Because these four weeks off each calendar year are built into the monthly tuition, the lessons these weeks will not be credited or rescheduled. Additionally, the studio is closed on the following holidays: New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day or Labor Day. If a student’s regularly-scheduled lesson falls on one of these days, the student has the option of scheduling a make-up lesson for the lesson missed.
