Micaela aced her singing competition last Saturday! She also found out that she will be singing with another student in front of the whole school the next time they meet for Mass! I think your music studio is doing a wonderful job. Hosting two recitals a year so that the students can showcase their talents is wonderful. Each student is treated the same no matter if they do a beginner 20 second piece or the ones more advanced playing a full song.

Both of my sons went to the 2011 summer camp at Matt Burk Studio and loved it! They looked forward to it every day and never once complained about having to go. My husband and I both were very happy with Matt’s staff and their usual high quality professionalism. It was two weeks of great musical instruction and fun, and ended with a real live session in a recording studio. It was such a cool experience, and something I would have DREAMED about when I was a kid!

Our kids (9 and 14) were absolutely blown away by the Matt Burk Music summer camp. Every day of the two week camp they were excited to get to the studio and play music. They always came home ready to practice what they had learned. The instructors were full of energy and very supportive of even the most novice artist. The jam sessions helped the kids to feel like part of a real band. The highlight of the camp was the recording session at the end where they were able to take the songs they had learned with their “band” and make a CD we could play in the car! They can’t wait for the next one!
