Matt Burk Music Studio offers music lessons and coaching at it’s best for Allen, Fairview, McKinney, Plano, Frisco, and the North Dallas areas! We are constantly looking for fun ways to help students learn, create and perform.
Performing serves as a learning experience as well as a great confidence builder. For students who have an interest in performing, we offer a lot of great opportunities – in a fun, supportive environment!

All of these performances are a great way for students to showcase their talents and get even more excited about their music. Although all of these are voluntary, we encourage students to partake in the fun!
Recitals & Showcases
We take pride in giving our students customized professional instruction and exceptional opportunities to perform. We hold formal performances twice per year – in the fall and in the spring. Our students have the unique opportunity to choose between performing at the McKinney Performing Arts Center in Downtown McKinney or at House of Blues near Downtown Dallas.
Jam Sessions
We have the best students at Matt Burk Music Studio! In order to create a customized teaching environment, and to allow students to learn at their own pace, we specialize in private music lessons. We also recognize that many of our students study an instrument in order to play in a band – whether they are currently in a band or aspire to be in a band some day. Because of this, we think it makes a lot of sense to give our incredible students an opportunity to play together. With this in mind, we have regular student Jam Sessions!
Live Gigs
Whether it’s original music or cover songs, students are given the opportunity to perform live gigs together in a casual, supportive environment.
