Guitar Lessons

The versatility of the guitar makes it an instrument in high demand. With four guitar instructors, we can truly tailor lessons to the individual’s needs. One thing that remains consistent is a focus on understanding the underlying principles of music. Once students have a basic grasp of the structure of chords and rhythms, they can easily transition into applying these concepts to begin playing the music they enjoy.

Guitar lessons at Matt Burk Studio also include theory and technique, as well as ear training and chart comprehension. We strive to create an environment where students can easily develop their own style and unique voice while drawing on a baseline of technical know-how. Whether you’d like to learn to play blues, rock, pop, country, metal, classical, or other styles, our instructors will help you hone your skills, so your natural talent can flourish.

We teach guitar lessons for a variety of skill levels, from beginner to very advanced. Students are encouraged to participate in jam sessions, which help develop group rhythm. We always use positive reinforcement and never forget our primary goal, which is for our students to enjoy playing their instruments as much as we do!
